There were a lot of big budget ads that I didn't think were any good this year. But there were quite a few that I could have easily shared: Snickers, Kia, Clash of Clans, Fiat and Dove. It's not any of these though or the cute dog ad, it's actually for this cat ad. It's shot from the cats perspective of the game and it's got some great lines performed very well by the VO.
MY AD OF THE WEEK .92 SUPERBOWL EDITION
30 Jan 2015
$4.5 million for a 30 second ad. It could only be the Superbowl.

MY AD OF THE WEEK .91

Newcastle Brown Ale have been pretty successful with their advertising recently, with last years "If We Made It" (basically imagining if the brewer had made this Super Bowl ad, how epic and stupidly awesome it would have been. Playing on the fact the brand couldn't afford a Super Bowl ad) picking up a lot of awards and Ad Week's ad of the year too.
This year they are getting people excited about the most jam-packed and biggest game ad ever by getting a sarcastic Aubrey Plaza plugging them. It's got some great lines in it and I found it very funny, check it out:

MY AD OF THE WEEK .90
9 Jan 2015
First of all, happy new year. I was away over the new year period, so my blog has been pretty quiet. But it's back and it's going to get even better in 2015.
So I'm starting 2015 with a press ad for Norwegian Airlines. I found it very clever, using one simple visual to point out a few messages in this case cities and countries, in a country that loves their national flag. The creatives must have been looking at flags from all over the world for a while to make it work and they've done well.
